I'm 22, I got my braces last year when I was 21 and hopefully will be getting them off in August, so quite a while before my 23rd birthday in December!
I'm 39 (soon to be 40 in July) and had braced just less than 2 weeks. My sentence is estimated at 10-14 months so hopefully will be braces free by 41st birthday...
I was 22 when I got braces, and I turned 24 the end of April. I was hoping to have them off before my birthday, but I'll just be glad to have them off before 25!
Time spent in braces: 16 months
Retainers: Top/bottom bonded and top/bottom Essix at night
I'm 51. I just got my braces and hopefully they will be off by my 53rd birthday. It's weird but my braces make me feel younger, not because I have something in common with teenagers, but because there's finally a part of me getting BETTER with age!
I'll be 60 in three months. Looks like my treatment will extend into next spring. I have Invisalign, so nobody really notices unless there is food around!
I was 53 when I started this, now 54 and will be 55 when I finish. I wish I'd done this years ago but I am pleased with the progress I've seen in six months.
another "more mature" (as the surgeon put it yesterday) personage here... I m 52 1/2
.... have had braces for 14 months and going for surgery next week. Hope then only another year ..... maybe an implant on upper jaw .... maybe at last then able to eat properly for the first time in 10 years or more by the time I am 54

but then the implant work begins..ugh..
Wow tacoma braced - we are in a parallel universe! I just turned 49, got my braces when I was 47, and I'm hoping to have them off before I'm 50. I just had a bone graft as the first step toward an implant. And I'm from Olympia!
Well, I can't say that I'm the same age, but I'm in Tacoma. Ahh, the Pacific Northwest. =]
Anyways. I just turned 21 in March, braced in May, and will probably have these on until I'm 24. I just hope they are off before I get married.
