My ortho told me I can use denture cleaner and mouthwash but everything I've read HERE says it's not safe for longterm use with solder. Of course I also read here that you shouldn't put retainers in hot water and my ortho said it's fine to drink hot coffee (I don't but he said I can lol).
Yes, the Cleanse Freshen Go spray and wipes will be safe for solder, mainly because you're not soaking your retainer in the product. http://www.dentakit.com/clfrgo.html

Sometimes the part that is soldered on is not really necessary. When mine broke off, my orthodontist told me not to worry about it. But that may not be the case for everyone!
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!

Of course, I don't know how you get your supplies, but I was able to get BraceGard in those little cases that even come with a mirror. It was a pack of 80 little boxes from practicon.com. I know the cases would be easier and cleaner than those loose packs of the silicone, but I would definitely also try thicker OrthoSil.
