I'm thinking about how even though I'm overall thrilled with the results of my surgery, I still have TMJ pain sometimes (like right now)--all muscular. And I think it's because my back teeth don't meet so I don't know for sure where to put my bite. And I can't convince my ortho to put me in elastics to close the molars. He tells me "not to obsesss about it". I wouldn't if you would explain your reasoning for not fixing it, or else fix it!

So annoyed.

This round of braces is completely selfish. It's for self improvement (whole body, mind and spirit), decreasing TMJ pain, and hopefully getting rid of CPAP. At this point in my life I've out grown the need to fit in or be accepted so I don't really mind what people think or say.

The good news is time is starting to fly by; as opposed to when I was a teenager; so that will make a couple years of treatment seem like months.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!

I'm thinking I love to love my teeth...still long ways to go, but loving the improvements so far.

I'm thinking a lot about my impacted canine. Praying it responds to the treatment plan and that the pain and discomfort I'm in now will be worth all of this.
