My whole life I haven't got a smile right yet for photos but I do tend to do the psycho smile for fun when people are walking by at work (my friends) just for my Own entertainment - here's to wishful thinking that I won't be self conscious and over think the smile so much after braces lol embrace the brace!

i make myself show my bottom teeth. I didnt used to smile like that. I would try to smile in the natural way that you feel comfortable with.

You should have some gums visible above your upper teeth but not too much.

You can always not show your teeth.

Practice in front of a mirror, and with a 2nd mirror if u have it. For some reason you will notice more things when seeing ourselves reversed, not mirrored.
