I use both electric and manual. The electric probably once a day along with multiple power washes with the waterpik. I did stop with the electric for about a year after double jaw surgery.

I’ve been using a Sonicare toothbrush for the last 15 years and I’ll never go back to Manual! My teeth feel cleaner especially with the braces. I also love that there is a built in timer for each quadrant so you know that you’re brushing for long enough. Definitely worth the investment in my opinion. My dental checkups (even before braces) improves dramatically after buying and using one of these.

I don't have braces yet, but definitely electric! My mouth feels soooo much cleaner using an electric vs. a manual brush. I mean, absolutely no comparison whatsoever!
