Im from Canada and I'm surprised that it is more expensive to get braces here.
I got lucky. My cost was cheaper than the average of Cad$6000. My friend paid CAD$11,000 for hers. Wow!

2. How much are you paying for your braces? 6500 plus about 1500 in x-rays, molds and various tests to figure out where my bite will end up. This includes 6-8 months in a custom expander (my mouth is unbelievably messed up)

5. Main reason - get my bite back into alignment. A little straightening/arch work is just laniagappe. Never had braces as child (didn't need them).
