Love the colour choice alexa!

My powerchain has now been removed so I don't have to put up with a clear powerchain turning yellow :D

My ortho doesn't stock coloured powerchains.

I'll have my first adjustment in two weeks. Now, I don't feel that I'm mentally ready for bold color just yet, but do you think my ortho will put different ligs on a few of my teeth so I can compare them?

Yes, I know this is something I'll have to ultimately ask him, but I was curious if anyone was allowed to see the comparison to make a decision.

Although, I must say that some of those colors look pretty neat. Perhaps by the time I student teach, I'll be more used to my braces and will choose colors--mostly for student excitement.

At my last adjustment, I asked the assistant to try two different colored ligs on so I could pick the one I preferred. She said, no problem. I compared silver and light blue, decided to go with silver top and light blue bottom.

Next time (Jan. 26) I want to see how the metalic purple looks compared to the silver. I'm leaning toward all metalic purple for the month of February (Valentines Day and my birthday).

I thought red might look too much like blood. And I had pink last time and it looked like I had bubblegum in my teeth. I think the purple will make my teeth look whiter, as all the cool colors seem to do.

Just ask. All they can say is no. I bet they'll let you check out a few colors.

Man, I wish I would have had my braces when I was student teaching. The second classroom I was in was first grade and they would have gotten a kick out of my colors. Heck, the first classroom I was in was sixth grade and they would have loved them too since many of them had braces. I have chose bold colors from the beginning. My very first ligs were hot pink :D

I have no kids to show them off to now since they are NO teaching jobs here. Hopefully I will start subbing soon...

Anyways, enough for being off topic. Enjoy student teaching!

Here are my pearl ligs. Supposed to be non-staining.

Pearl look great - very white. You'll have to let us know if they really are "non-staining".

Clear stained fast for me, and so far smoke have been great at not staining.

I've just had an adjustment, and here are my new colours:

Image

They are actually a muted grey off but they look pale blue-grey-silver on, which I quite like. AND I'm starting to influence my ortho! He only has clear, white, and about 8-10 very bright reds, oranges, greens etc, but he has acknowledged he doesn't have much available in the in-between section and said if I like these (they were a sample) he'll get more in.

Yay!

WOW - great colors everyone!! Once I get braced on the bottom I'll go with purple !!!!!
Looking at all your pics, makes me realize how small my teeth really are !!!!! the brackets practically cover my teeth
:( but hopefully the gum contouring in the end will help with my front teeth atleast!!!
