newbie needing advice: family not supportive

I think you have enough analysis and support for your decision to go with braces. My situation is a little bit in an opposite direction. I'm over 50, just got braces more than 1 month ago. My son is 21, his upper arch looks fine but the lower is crowded. I beg him to have braces but he doesn't want to! He thinks that his lower arch doesn't show while he opens his mouth, and he's a guy he doesn't care! Well, I keep pushing and he keeps avoiding. Of course, I can't force him... And more, he ignores the fact it's a good avantage to take since he's still under my insurance which pays about $1500 on the ortho work...Go girl, I give you 2 thumbs up..
