Hey Acrobat,

Like you I'm worried about people's reactions - but most people on this site seem to only experience positive comments, or none at all as they are not as noticable as we think (I hope that's true!)

And I've spent so long agonising over this decision that now I think I'd rather just get braces over with than back out and regret it, then go through the same difficult decision making process a couple of years later.

So I guess we just have to grin and bear it (literally!) and remember that there are lots of people on this site going through the same thing- and having very positive experiences.

Keep me posted and wish me luck for my brace day next week! (aaargh!)
