I'm in the Seattle area and got self ligating braces at the bottom and ceramic at the top.

Treatment comes with a retainer which is included in the fee.

I pay $5800 with a payment arrangement which consisted in an initial deposit of 1800 and 20 monthly payments of $207. Not too bad.

I went to 3 orthos for consults -
1 - $5200 for Damon Braces and estimate of (18 to) 24 months of treatment time
2 - $5700 for In-Ovation Self-Ligating braces 24 months of treatment
3 - $5600 for ceramic traditional braces and 30-36 months

I went with #1 for a number of reasons including reputation, I liked her, the office, staff, and experience with adult patients - it was a major plus that she was also the least expensive and estimated the least amount of time (whether I get them off in under 2 years will be the test, but I'm only a month in...)

I've got all of you beat 9400 for damons in the seattle area. My treatment time is going to be 2 years minimum though, probably more.
