Wow you have had a lot of changes in 2 adjustments. I get my first adjustment in 3 weeks and I am surprised at how much they have moved in a month.

Yes. I am surprised at all the changes is such a short space of time.

I have my 3rd adjustment on the 5th of September. So I can't wait 2 see if I can get a longer prob 6 chain link power chain for my uppers.


I will update this after my appointment with pics included.

Had my 3rd adjustment yesterday.

Hot new wires top and bottom. They have loops 2 each per wire. I'm out of power chains links on my front teeth for the while.after 2months and 8days! My previous pic has an error on it. The redish ligs where 1months and 11days in powerchains not 2months and 8days. I don't kno how I got that calculation lolz.
Probably I was thinking about now. But I had no idea I would be out of them today ℓσℓ. Anyways 2months and 8days to close of my gaps! Wow. Wat a powerful thing a powerchain is!
Can't wait 2 close the rest of gaps lookin forward 2 it.
Well I choose teal this time for my iigs. Loving them.

Will post pics tomorrow to update you guys on the progress.

So, I just returned from seeing the second orthodontist. I decided to proceed and booked my appointments. So, my braces are going on on October 25th at 1:45 p.m. I really liked him and he took a lot of time to explain everything to me. We're going to do Damon stainless steel and I'll need to wear them for two years. He said that he won't be able to close the spaces left from the tooth extractions because there has been a fair bit of bone loss which he said might have been caused by the abscess I had on the right side and no explanation for the bone loss on the left hand side. He is also referring me to a periodontist because apparently I have had some bone loss in the bone above my front teeth which he said might be what caused the diastema to begin with.
He actually said that I have a really nice bite but that that, believe it or not causes my case to be slightly more complicated. I can't remember why. He's going to send me a full written report and maybe that will be in there. Anyway, even though he's going to use Damon brackets, the treatment will only be $200.00 more than the other orthodontist quoted me and I can pay it in monthly instalments of $200.00 once I've paid for my impressions and more x-rays and made my downpayment. So, over all, I'm very pleased. I feel much better now that I've actually made a decision and booked an appointment. I hope I'll be able to sleep tonight. This morning, I woke up at 4:15 in the midst of a wicked anxiety attack which I know was caused by all my worries about all of this.

@ Nikki- I love the teal ligs and your diastema has closed Just the gaps near the canines due to the diastema left. I wish mine was closed-I hope I get stronger powerchains as I am desperate for mine to close

@ Dee-Great news on the appointment and it's good that you won't have to wait too long before you start your treatment. I hope it all goes well and look forward to hearing more and seeing photos as your treatment begins

Angel - Yes i am so glad....I though i was going to get a 6 link power chain to start closing those gaps too but i guess not.
I think my midline is a bit off so maybe he is fixing that before he starts to move everything else in place and then he might not have room to shift everything...

But with the progress i am really happy. 1 of my cousins have braces and the other one had and neither of them have had this amount of movement in this short space of time. lol. So im extremely grateful. I hope the entire process keeps at this speed.
