Hahaha, last time one of them did it I told her she was going to have to clean the whole bathroom.......she was devastated (I relented though and she didn't).

Ah, you're a good mom! I'm sure she was happy you didn't enforce it. I'll bet she didn't do it again either, did she?

Dee's tip about making sure your lips are well moisturized is a really good one. I found that my whole mouth got dry being open so long. I was expecting this and had drunk 2 glasses of water before hand. Very glad I did! I had problems with a dry mouth for a few days afterwards - maybe because I was inclined to keep my mouth slightly open because the braces kept catching on my lips. Again, the chapstick was very useful the first few days.

I had dry mouth for a few days after I got my braces on too. Needed to drink SOO much water!

Thanks everyone for all the advice :)

I'll be picking up bonjela and plenty of lip balm before I go in :) I drink heaps of water anyway, so that shouldnt be a problem :)

4 days to go... counting down and starting to feel some tummy flutters lol. Going to be a big big day with another hour long appointment that afternoon. hope I'm up to it all!

You'll be just fine. Slow, deep breaths will help any feelings of anxiety. Go forward with gusto!
