Did you choose metal braces, or an alternative and why?

I guess in my case I didn't really have any choice because they can't do what they need to do without metal braces. So traditional metal ones for me, starting the first week of May.

I got clear damon braces on top and metal ones on the bottom. I'm a professional who is either with patients all day or training others so I wanted the limited visibility of the clear on top. I initially debated between the invisalign and the damon, but the ortho told me they were similarly priced and choosing damon would ensure that my smile would be 100% afterward, plus it should take less time. To me doing the clear damon on top was a happy compromise.
