$650(70,000 yen) down payment and $138(15,000 yen) a visit. Intrest free. Also it depends on the exchange rate. I'm seeing an Okinawan Orthodontist. I have ceramics in the front, metal in the back. No extractions yet.

Hi
I've been quoted £2400 for both arches in metal. Initial consult was £75 including xrays and moulds. Had these done the other week. Next appt is on 10th Feb! May just be getting the top arch done (£1400). I'll keep you posted. They both need doing really but the top ones bother me most. Although if I only get tops done, will I wish I'd got both done? Probably!
Anyone else had the same decision to make and what were the deciding factors?

Thought it would be useful to have some pounds sterling prices on here..

wait a second....where do you all live? I live in Boston and went for one consultation for ceramics or linguals, and I was quoted $8500-10,000!! That doesn't seem remotely reasonable! Does anyone have linguals? Does that price seem really out of line for ~18 months?
Good thing I'm going to see someone else today!

Damon 3's:

Initial: free
had 4 different payment options, I went with the full payment, and got a booker's fee reimbursement.

price: 5,000.00
Booker's fee reimbursement: $250.00
total price: $4,750.00

and that's for however long my treatment goes- 18-21 months they are expecting

meep: that does sound expensive! I know linguals are much more expensive because only a handful of ortho's do them, but the ceramics as well? I'd definately shop around@ :?
