I had invisalign from ages 15-19, and now I just got regular braces (ceramic upper, metal lowers) at 25. After two refinements invisalign did not close all of my gaps.

My first post.... I am one of the "8%" population & 6 weeks into 2 year treatment.

I started my second time in braces on Jan. 27, about two months months after I turned 30. Expected treatment time is 12-20 months.

First go in braces at age 39 :)
Ceramic upper, metal lower with an expected treatment time of 18-20 months. 11 weeks and counting......

I had braces for 22 months when I was 16. I made my orthodontist take them off the week of prom my senior year of high school even though I wasn't done with treatment. My teeth looked straight to me, and I wanted them off!
Now I am 32 years old and I notice the little imperfections now more than ever. My midline is off, my bite is too deep (I show hardly any lower teeth) and my bite is still not 100% correct. I am getting Damon Clear braces for about 8 months and my orthodontist is using Insignia. Insignia is a super-cool treatment planning and smile-design software that will help my orthodontist make my smile PERFECT, and my brackets will be custom made for MY teeth! My fee is $3,767 and includes my records, appointments, appliances, upper and lower bonded retainers and a night guard that I will sleep in at night.

Mine go on this week, I'm 29. Hopefully it doesn't take longer than estimated, and I'll have them off before I turn 32.

Got them on two days ago at age 30. So far the experience has sucked. My teeth and cheeks are sore and I can't bite or chew, so I'm stuck eating soup and yogurt.

I just got them four days ago, and I'm 30 (31 in two months). My experience isn't very pleasant either, sigh.

I started when I was 19 year old and I already felt like i've been missing out a lot in life. Should've gotten braces when I was 16, sigh

Im 24 years old and I got them yesterday. I hope I'll celebrate my 26th birthday without them =)
