Ya, you caught me. I snuck out late at night to get these braces because my "master" was sleeping and forgot to lock me in the dungon. PA....LEASE. It's 2010....I, own him.
WOW! I'm not married, but I would not react to such a comment very nicely! People truly don't think about what they're saying before they say it. No filter, at all. It's sad that people would even think that, let alone actually say it aloud.

Hi,

I am not braced yet. But these are things I am not looking forward to:

1. Someone telling me I have a lips.

2. Someone getting popcorn when we go to the movies.
Currently wearing fixed upper and lower braces, clear brackets with a metal wire, for 12-15 months. I have an overbite and overcrowding of my upper and lower teeth.

Hey Brandyrenee -

I love the concept of the "shutup filter." That was hilarious. :D

YOu cannot tell me with a straight face that you buy manolo blahnik shoes and that's not purely cosmetic lol. I dont' understand why people seem to believe it's wrong to fix your teeth but it's perfectly normal to purchase and wear clothes and make up. :D

I'll go one better than them. I paid an ortho with the money I did not spend on clothes and makeup. hehehehe!
You can spend 10 thousand dollars on make up, shoes and clothes. But if your teeth are crooked you will always look like you are ready for Halloween all thye year round anyway...

Don't tell me that you had braces scheduled for one year and it turned into four, especially with in the first week of being braced.

TOO TRUE!! And I was just thinking about that this morning as I brushed my teeth. My one big extraction gap has now turned into one big... one medium, and one small, for a total of THREE gaps. I could've gotten black and orange ligs a few weeks ago and gone as a Jack-O-Lantern!

 Yeah i had braces when i was a teenager...well most people did including myself, but things unfortunately change...or the best is being in the orthodontist waiting room and getting asked if you are waiting on your kid to get done w/ the ortho! and the kids movie playing in the waiting room....makes me feel SUPER old! hahaha

I can relate AMBROW 11.....

Please don't look at me when I walk in the waiting room, and then look behind me, and look...and look....and look, like...where's the kid????   (I have to laugh though, because all the little kids stare at me...A LOT.....and you JUST KNOW...you know, that their mommy's are leaning over and saying, "now Tommy, that...that right there....is what will happen if you don't brush, you'll be an....ADULT with braces")....such horror

OR....My othro's office gives us "tickets" if we've been doing a good job brushing and cleaning....we get 2 each visit. Anyway, we can turn them in for treats. All treats....are geared towards ages 11-17. So I made a comment one day about..."hmmm which, Hannah Montana poster do I want today", and would you believe one of the parents in the waiting room looks up from her magazine and says, "well, you do realize most of us have already had braces"  ....most of what lady, most of you @itches? Oops, I mean, adults. So the receptionist chimes in and says, um Jen, there is a gift card for Dairy Queen in there.

Gee  ....lucky me. How could I have missed it.

(No really the ladies in my office are really nice, and always try to remember to give me my "tickets" because they know I save them up for my kids to bring in and use)
