Just noticing (especially since i'm older than normal brace-age... 28) that when i go out to the bars or anywhere else, there is an unspoken bond between older people who have braces where they'll flash their full metal jacket at each other with a nice friendly smile... i've actually been approached at bars a few times BECAUSE i had braces and so did she..

just think it'd be cool to go hang out and have some drinks w/ some locals and BS... a little nerdy mabye, but possibly a little cool i know other forums i frequent for other things have regional sections/groups and we meet up (car stuff, etc)

cool... i guess i'll keep looking.. i've made two great adult female friends (not hookups or anything.. just friends)... just based on sharing the commonality of braces

also gives me someone i can vent to during times of adjustment who understand recently (not as someone who had braces 10 years ago hehe) what i'm going through
