Hi There, I am getting braces in 2 weeks and am excited and nervous at the same time! I am 36 and just woke up one day and decided I want straight teeth :) I am getting clear on top and metal on the bottem and have to wear them for about 2 yrs,,,, seems pretty long to me! Learning lots from everyone here, thanks,

Well it should be interesting, my Ortho is really excited to straighten my teeth as he has only had 2 other people with my situation, My lower teeth are really whacked! one tooth is sideways, one has traded spots with the other tooth and is completly backwards,,, I should take some photos, once I learn how to add pics to this forum..

Those two years will fly by. You get used to the braces so quickly.
Well done on making the decision.
I'm off for my first adjustment today. Wa-hay!

Welcome and congrats on your decision! My dentist bugged me for years to do something about my teeth and I jumped in beginning this year. My treatment is supposed to last 24-28 months. Seems like a long time, but I'm sure it will fly in all our cases.
