braces ocean party

#1 Post by akabraces »

*ciao*

I just had a party to celebrate my
new braced smile...

Alot of people came and while
I certainly had my moments
of thinking, geez, what face/grimace/
pout am I making now, I could
relax and enjoy myself...

I just can't BELIEVE that these
things aren't just a novelty--
I keep expecting they'll come off soon,
like this is some little experiment,
but 2 years! Crazy! That part
is finally sinking in...

Off to bed after a fun night!

cheers,

*aka

A Party? What a great idea! I'd already been thinking that it would be nice to have a party when my braces come off. I could have all sorts of 'banned' food like crusty bread and nuts! I bought a bag of nuts the other day without thinking about it. Just hope they don't go off before I get to eat them!

Hope you had fun!

Just to let you know...

I grew up several hours from the Atlantic coast of the US. And yes, it was not uncommon to have OCEAN PARTIES. For real. We also called them Beach Parties.

There is a whole style of music called "beach music" that I am familiar with from southern east coast US, and we played beach music all the time at ocean parties. No kidding. I'm probably the only one who read the original post that got "edited" from "c@@*tail parties" to "ocean parties" and didn't think twice about it.

Ocean parties are great...laid back, music, hanging out, open air, (beverages for those over 21), munchies, so I recommend an ocean party to anyone! Braces or not.

I grew up about two hours away from the Atlantic Ocean. We had hurricane parties. Everyone would get together, usually you cook out in case the power goes out (we had electric stoves where I lived), and you just ride out the storm. It's a lot more fun to be with your friends than to just sit in your house and listen to the wind knocking all your trees over!
