Just got home from having my first adjustment and this time I asked the orthodontist about those talked about wire ties and I got them (nobody said how painful they are at first ) but at least now I can eat as I please without worrying about my pearl ligs turning fluorescent green.

Wow! Your teeth looked pretty good from the first pic, and now are even better after one adjustment! Looks like you won't have to be in braces for very long!

We were just talking about this on another thread.....

I just got white teflon ties on my upper two front teeth Tuesday and when she started to twist the ties to close I could not believe the Pain!...and they were sore to begin with, Were yours?......This may be the route I take next time....the whole staining thing is not something I should be consumed with but it does look ugly after 6 weeks.....

No my teeth weren't sore before hand. I told someone the other day that my braces hadn't been painful as everyone says they are...I spoke to soon. And to think I requested the wire ties...just didn't know what I was getting myself into, lol. Just pray the pain goes away shortly.

Your teeth are looking great, as are your new white wire ties! I love mine, and think you'll be so happy now that you don't have to worry about staining.

I have had both wire ties and ligs (on the bottom) and haven't found the wire ties to be more painful, but it just goes to show us how individual this experience is for everyone.

Sounds like we got braced about the same time. I also had my first adjustment last week. I notice your upper rotated lateral is coming around nicely. Mine has barely budged. It hardly seems there's enough room for it to turn but my ortho assures me it will happen. I also have noticed a dramatic change in my upper right incisor which has come down and out. It looks really lopsided right now but he also assures me that the left will follow shortly. Can't wait. You have shown such awesome progress. Congratulations.
