Tomorrow is my big day. I have been trying to eat all the bad stuff today and have a good breakfast in the morning! I'm getting nervous but I keep reminding myself of the end results, because I know it will be worth it!

I will have my final consult may 15th, and then I'm going to push to get braced before the end of may if possible.

I have my records appt May 15th and will hopefully be braced May 18th or 22nd. I shouldn't have to have spacers so I am VERY excited about that! I am very excited and nervous. I can't wait to get started!

Stacey07...I've noticed time varies from ortho to ortho in regards to spacers. Most of them told me they usually put them in for a week. Some people here have had them for 2 weeks or more. It's just a guess but I would think that if your molars aren't super close that maybe you wouldn't have to wear them as long b/c there wouldn't be a need for as much movement to make way for molar bands. Again, that is just my guess!

Good luck to all! :D

Tomorrow the 2nd I get braced. :D

I have had my spacers in since the 13th of April. At this point, my teeth no longer hurt and I wouldn't know they were there if my tongue didn't play with them.

Very, Very, Very Excited...... :-*

Spacers May 4th, Braces May 11th.
I've decided to go with ceramic braces, at 17 it may be odd but its' what I'm going to be the most comfortable in probably.

Yes, I'm getting braces tomorrow, Tuesday, May 2nd!!! Can't wait! Excited and little anxious too. I am 37 years old and figure why not, got the money now and can afford to have my teeth straight. My husband is thrilled for me. He says I'll look cute in braces :-)

Well its officially my first day in braces. I can say I didn't have any complaints about the whole process this morning....all went well. Although tonight I have had off and on discomfort, and if it weren't for them being permanent I can definately say I would be taking them in and out for some relief. Oh well, just part of the process. These things feel so foreign in my mouth. The ceramic braces are awesome though...can barely notice they're there!!!
