My 2nd adjustment..interesting

#1 Post by LUV2SING »

Hi everyone, I got my 2nd adjustment today. They didn't change my bottom wire. They said it still has some work to do. I did get a 16mm on the top (whatever that means.) Unfortunately, they put 3 wire tires on my front teeth on the top. Because the wire tire was bulky, my silver lig came off right when I got back to my office. Just one corner and it was a bear to get back on. I called the office and they said the ligs were put on so they would look the same as the others and it was no big deal if it fell off. I got baby blue ligs on the bottoms and silver on the top. I'm going to be very sore tomorrow due to the extra pressure from the wire ties. The doc also tightened the quad helix which always results in a headache for about a week. Thank God for Advil. This adjustment did not hurt as bad as the 1st one. I asked the receptionist what kind of clear brackets I had, she said they were plastic and not ceramic. Does that mean they won't shatter when they pop them off? Anyone else have plastic brackets?

You know, my brackets look like they are plastic as well...but my ortho always says ceramics...so I dunno... I wish I would know though...maybe next time if I remember, I'll ask.

My ortho puts wire ties on some teeth and sometimes puts wire ties with a lig...to have more pressure...but I've never had a problem with a lig coming off...

Best of luck witth your treatment and hope you're teeth aren't too sore :)
