Braces records appointment

#1 Post by ShinySmile »

I had my records appointment at 4:00 today. It took about an hour to get into the chair and leave the building, and it wasn't too bad. They started out taking the panoramic x-rays, photos, and wax molds. The orthodontist came in and checked my mouth again, and then gave me my orthodontic plan:

Today: 6 spacers on top
6/13/2006: Expander fitting (RPE)
6/28/2006: RPE installation

Expansion for approximately one month

~7/28/2006: upper and lower braces, expander stays in for stability for about 3 months

12-18 months of braces :)

Shiny smile- Congrats on taking the first of several steps!! Hey, you have to start somewhere, right! I got braced two days ago, and am doing just fine. No pain, just slight discomfort.

Wishing you an easy, pain-free journey!

Thanks!

Actually, I have 8 spacers on top, not six

They hurt a little, but nothing too uncomfortable yet...

Congrats on getting started in your journey.....I hope you continue to have limited (or none at all) pain.
