A funny thing happened today

Had a funny thing happen today at work.

I've been braced on top for almost three months now. A guy that I see almost every day asked me at lunch when I had gotten braces because he hadn't noticed till today. He joked off-hand that I must have been hiding them.

Not ten minutes later another guy that I do see every day asked me the same thing. I had to laugh.

The funniest thing happened yesterday. This guy I know is always coming into my office to chat and when he does he is there for like 1 1/2 hours. I have missed entire meetings because of him! Anyway, I had just taken a huge bite out of a wheatbread, cheese and turkey sandwich. The food was so stuck in my grill that I couldn't even talk to him! I told him that since I was eating he wouldn't be able to stay! He sort of backed out of my office. He was sort of smiling and I was really embarrased but relieved too that I didn't have to talk to him that day. Those sandwiches just really stick all over the brackets!

If people notice my braces, they don't seem to indicate. However, after being in braces for about six months, someone I see on a regular basis said, "You got braces!! When did you do that?" When I told her that I had had them on for six months she indicated that she hadn't noticed in all that time!
