Elastic Wearers: Show us your configurations :)

#1 Post by nahky »

I've been with my elastics for the past 5 weeks. I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of configurations everyone else was wearing.

Heres my config.

So im wearing 3 eleastics, 2 square configs and one diagnal to fix my midlines. And a whole lot of vasaline to keep my lips moist, they dry so quickly now with all this hardware in my mouth.

This is the only pic I have where I had elastics, you can see them if you look closely-they go from top canines to bottom back molars.

Wow, I've never seen anyone with a config like that. Does it hurt? LoL.

It was sore for the first few days. Still sore now when i put it on during the evenings and nights.

i call it the shut-the-heck-up configuration. My Ortho is very skilled though, so im sure he knows what hes doing. It might have somethign to do with me having jaw surgery a month ago.

thakns for the reply everyone, interesting, keep em coming.

Here's mine, but not on order of ortho...my oral surgeon is doing this. Four triangles, two on each side. Front: from top cuspid to bottom cuspid and first bicuspid. Back: From top first molar to bottom first and second molar. Nahky... my OS doesn't want my ortho to adjust my teeth for 6-8 weeks. Even though I have an appointment in three weeks, he can only "look" according to my OS.

Here's what I've had so far:

Image
Class III elastic on the right side only. This was about 3 or 4 months ago, I think it's the same as what Chris has got now.

Image
This is some sort of box configuration I got at my last adjustment.
