surgery vs braces

#1 Post by payoki »

In my country, many actors and actress get surgery to correct their teeth instead of braces. It's a new trend. But I can't imagine the risk involved because they remove small portion of the bone and realign the teeth but the result is so dramatic and fast. I kinda wish I had the money to do it.
Do we have somthing like that here in U.S. ?

What country are you in? I guess it depends on how messed up your teeth are. They do all sorts of stuff with plastic surgery these days.

To get my teeth/bite perfect, I would have had to have surgery, where they would have removed part of my jaw/skull AND braces. Instead I can get 80% there with Damon brackets. The surgery seems really scary to me.

I am having surgery to cure my overbite, and the prospect is scary, but I will get through it. If it is not a major problem for you, then get braces, it wouldnt be worth going through the pain for a little problem.
