Any suggestions for a sore tongue?!?!

#1 Post by blondie111 »

Since my teeth have been shifting, my braces are now rubbing my tongue raw! I have huge sores on both side of my tongue, and it feels kinda like I burnt my tongue. It's been sore now for about 2 weeks. Any hints as to what to do to relieve the rubbing?

Also try some ora-jel or ambisol. It will temporarily numb your sore tongue and give you some relief.

I've got the same problem at the moment, and it's just come on in the last couple of days. The rubbing has developed into a small ulcer, and it really hurts when it rubs against the sharp edge of one of my rear molar bands.

I'm just using some Rinstead gel on it at the moment.
