a minor question

#1 Post by kana »

I was eating some fried food today for lunch and part of the fried batter got stuck between my braces(I'm sure it's familiar to everyone of us), the thing is when I tried to remove it using my fingers(stupid me), and then a sound "pop!", I thought my bracket came off, but luckily it didn't.

After brushing my teeth I realized that the rubberband used to tighten the wire to the bracket or whatever that is called is missing, I have swallowed it while I was eating(well I have unknowingly swallowed a spacer before so I'm not worried about this ^^)...so now what should I do? My next apppintment is 3 days later, so is it okay to wait till then?

thanks.

I sneezed a few days ago and a wire tie came flying out of my mouth. Everything seems secure enough so I'm waiting til my next appointment in 10 days time.

If you're not sure, call your ortho for a professional opinion.
