GIVE ORTHODONTIST BAD PRESS

wHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I TOLD THE WORLD HOW POORLY AND WHAT A LOUSY JOB AN ORTHODONTIST DID?
I HEARD SUING WOULD WASTE MY TIME AND MONEY BUT I'M SO IRRITATED THAT HE GOT AWAY WITH IT.
ANYBODY EVERY SUE AN ORTHO? COULD HE SOMEHOW SUE ME IF I SPOKE ABOUT HIM ON THE BLOG?

Have you simply asked him for the money back? If so what did he say? If not, why haven't you yet?

I doubt he would get very much bad press from a blog. But yes, he could probably sue you for slander if you bad mouthed him and anything in your post wasn't true.

If he sucks that bad I doubt he is getting referrals from very many people so his practice is probably suffering anyway.

Don't lose too much energy over this - it isn't worth it. Ask for your money back. If you have already done that and he isn't cooperating cut your losses and move on. We have been talking a bit about this in the offtopic forum as well if you care to take a look.

I did ask for my money back, but I'll check the section you mention, I'm very new to this site. Thanks! And yes I heard I should move on, I think it's bad karma,,,but I'm so irritated..

I feel your irritation, not with my ortho, but with a dentist who did lousy work on me in the past and I ended up losing a bridge, a tooth, money, and with a dilemma in my mouth. Although I got my money back, I can't go back and change what happened. You just have to "let it go" and move on. Of course, I tell anyone who asks me about a recommendation, NOT to go to Dr. Lousy, I wouldn't want them to experience the same thing. I've even told subsequent dentists I've seen who did the lousy work.

You need to be mindful of libel and slander laws. Even if you think your comments are true, that doesn't mean the ortho can't sue you and let the courts decide.

I am sorry to hear that you are having such a bad time.....

Is the ortho refusing to return your money? Have you told him that you are considering publicizing what he did in the local news paper? Make sure you speak to a lawyer before you do anything like that, but it might make you feel better to mention that to him. If you still are unable to get your money back....I am equally sorry to say....you may have to let it go. If you believe in karma, you know bad karma will come back to him as well.
