Braces on in 4 days!

#1 Post by MrsF »

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this board. It's been great reading everyone's stories and what they have gone through.
A month ago I got my brackets on, ceramics on top, and metal on the bottom. Then 10 days ago I got 7 extractions. I was pretty nervous, but reading all the experiences on here helped me deal with it! It wasn't too bad (I was put to sleep) the worst part was trying to figure out how to eat semi-solid food with all these holes in my mouth. Oh, they also had to expose my molar in the back because it had never really grown in properly, and just a corner was peeking through the gum. So apparently they are going to attach a bracket on the exposed tooth now and with a chain, they will slowly pull it up.
Now in 4 days I am going to my ortho to get the arch wire put on! I am so excited to have the surgery behind me and hopefully see some progress soon!
