My ortho is going to "Torque" my Upper Front Teeth

#1 Post by Scott19 »

So has anyone else had this done? my upper and bottom teeth just about hug each other nicely when i close my mouth, but i had asked him if there could be the normal gap between the upper and bottom teeth(having slight discomforts with it as of now)

I made the mistake of not asking what Torque'ing my front teeth forward meant, though im assuming he will just angle the upper teeth away from the bottom?

Thanks

My ortho did this two adjustments ago with a different wire. It just moved my upper teeth out a little so that there would be some space when I bite down. Be prepared with pain killers. My teeth were as sore as when I first got my braces on. And...the assistant had a heck of a time getting the wire in because the wire is shaped differently. I ended up with a cut lip and lots of jabs in the inside of my mouth.
Good luck!
