Jib holding elastics

Hi to all my brace buddies!!!
I have a question regarding the "jib", the wire holding the elastics
Both of mine have popped out.
My orthodontist's office is about 45 miles away so I 'd like to have to avoid going to him to have them put back.
Any suggestions--???
