I currently have a class II elastic from upper left canine to lower left 1st molar to correct my midline, which was slightly to the right.
This is when I first started with a class II elastic, in July:
Just yesterday, about 4 months later, it's corrected!
I think it really depends on how far off your midline is... and on which side. That will dictate the elastic configuration that will fix it. I know some people who've had to have elastics right across their front teeth to correct the midline! I'm glad I avoided that!

Thanks so much for taking the time to post And pictures also..WOW!!
Yes from what I'm reading most seem to get the elastics going from back molar to canine.
Have a great weekend:)

here my configuration of midline correcting elastics, which i just was made free of after 8 months. as you can see from my current pic below versus my first day in the elastics, they really worked.

Throughout my treatment, I've had two different elastic configurations to correct my midline. First, on and off, toward the beginning of my treatment I had just one elastic on the left side. This somewhat corrected the problem, but did not correct it fully. Now that I am almost done with my treatment, and the midline correction is the only thing left to do, they are taking a faster approach, having me wear an elastic from my upper right canine, to my bottom left canine. I think there are many approaches to this.
