Teeth glued together!

Ok I have a question. I've had my braces on a few days now and my mouth finally felt ok enough that I was going to attempt flossing. That's when I realized that two of my teeth are glued together! I know that after the brackets were applied she took off some glue that ran between my teeth but she missed this one I guess. I'm going to call Monday, but I thought I'd ask here about it. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there anything that can be done? Will it cause any problems? ect....

I had this happen in 2 places - I worked on it with floss until it separated with a crack. I've still got 1 little lump of glue I'm going to get removed at my next adjustment.

It feels weird huh?

I had the same problem. I went to floss the first night and couldn't begin to get the floss between them. I don't think the fact that those teeth are crowded helped the matter at all. I was able to floss again within a week.

Hmm...I don't have any teeth glued together as far as I can tell - but I've sure got a lot of excess bits of glue on my teeth here and there.

There's a tiny blob on the back of my upper right lateral that I try my best to ignore, but I always feel it with my tongue and it's kind of rough!

I think that the assistant who rebonded a few of my brackets was sort of careless... another time there was a massive sharp piece of glue poking out from my canine and I had to point it out to her and have it fixed! :?

Two teeth glued together doesn't sound too good... I would definitely call and see if you can get it fixed.

I had two teeth with a little glue between them too. I kept trying to floss, and finally it broke through. I heard this loud CRACK! and the floss popped through. It scared the hell out of me, I thought I broke a tooth!

The ortho should be able to take care of it for you!

Happened to me too. It was really annoying...And I was kinda worried about the glue affecting movement. i mean, after all, they were stuck together...lol. but eventually the floss just broke through.

Well I worked on it and broke through finally too. My teeth were quite achy after working them, but it was worth it. I too worried about the movement of the teeth if they remained stuck together and was relieved to seperate them. Thanks for the tips.

Yep, assistant glued two of my teeth together. Hard to find good help these days! I really mean that, I mean what the hell is wrong anymore, seems like there is no pride in anything anymore. (I don't mean to be negative here)
I had to go to my dentist to have them remove the glue. $$$ I should have not paid.
You would think they would really look close at what they are doing!!!

When I had my top braces placed, excess glue got wedged between two teeth. Fortunately my ortho spotted this, noting at that time that "these teeth aren't going anywhere until we remove that glue." He had to use the drill to do the job.....not nice.

kat, I agree with you, I feel like I'm always complaining about something or another. It seems to me people just don't care anymore or have pride in their work. It also seems everyone is getting used to being treated this way and they just dont bother to say anything to management.

But I have to say I'm lucky with everyone at my ortho's office cause everyone from the front desk to the assistants to my ortho are great!!!

Hmmm, I had two teeth glued together as well, and I have been trying to break through it with floss, but it doesnt seem to be working. I was hoping to just wait until Nov. 2nd for my first adjustment and have them look at it then if it was still glued. But now I am not so sure I should wait if the movement may be affected.
