I've got new wires on my upper and lower teeth, and they are different to any of the wires I have had before - either side of the two front teeth there are these funny little tube type things that slide between the brackets of the front tooth and the one next to it, two on each wire. Anyone else got these? What are they for?

I got a couple of those too, they are stops and are there to keep the arch wire from moving in a certain direction. ( at least that what the ortho assisistants told me mine are for)

I had them and one time the assistant did not crimp them so they slid around. I thought she forgot, and came back to ask about it, it turned out since my wires were rectangular and heavy enough that the wire does not move anyway, she just didn't do it on purpose.
