Keeping a bracket on

#1 Post by iBorg »

I have a canine that has had a root canal. I've knocked the bracket loose (ceramic) twice in a month. Any ideas on how to keep this thing on? I'm guessing my Sonicare toothbrush is knocking it off when I brush in the morning and I'm half asleep. I know I'll use a manual in the future but this isn't a good way to make progress.

I wore braces (this time) for 1294 days or 3 years, 6 months and 17 days.
But who's counting?

I knocked a bracket off a crown early on. It was reattached with a different glue and (fingers crossed) has not given trouble since.

I only use a manual toothbrush, btw.

Maybe ask your ortho to try a different glue?

Well I don't have experience of knocking them off but from my understanding electric toothbrush is actually recommended because it does a good job at cleaning.

Now the first time my ortho's assistant put the wire on, two of the brackets actually came off. And that surprised the assitant but they didn't know why so my ortho just glued them back on and they stayed there for more than a week now.
