I just got some elastics about a week ago .. they extend from my bottom back molars to my first molar up top. The elastic on the right hand side is seriously cutting into my cheek. I don't have this problem with the left.. it hurts sooo much, I think I have a permanent indent now :( Any ideas of how to alleviate the pressure??

Sounds like you've got the Class 2 formation.

I also found that one side seemed to react more than the other at first. Stick with it, like everything it gets better in time. Also, stay hydrated and - if you've been instructed to wear them full time - follow instructions. I eat with mine in and I have four of them.
