5th adjustment with lots of pictures & elastics

#1 Post by Bluemoonjo »

I just had my 5th adjusment, and got elastics.
Not the best pictures, but you'll get the idea :)

I'm supposed to wear the elastics 12 hours a day, he suggested 8pm-8am
I'm going to try and wear them during the day to though, so they will work faster. And it feels funny when I take them out, kinda like when they take the wire out LOL
He said that would be good, just to take them out while eating :)

Still a ways to go... but over all I think I've had alot of movement in such a short time.

Think I remembered everything LOL

your teeth look fantastic! I'm so jealous of your purple ligs! I'm still wearing wires dang it. I'm hoping since i'm getting new wires in 18 days he'll let me do the color thing. They told me it was because of the way my teeth were the elastic ligs wouldn't hold my arch wire on.

In all those closed mouth pictures ... my mouth is closed all the way.

The two triangles together, he refered to as a box. Says they will close my bite.... so when I close my mouth all I'll see is teeth, no holes/gaps.

I still don't really understand how they work LOL
I get that they "close your bite", but not how they do it ..ykwim
I've been trying to find a video, or pictures of elastics working (from start to finish) online, but haven't yet...

I did find this video... but it is a different setup than I have.

Great progress.

I have a similar elastics set up to you, except that I have a 'box' over all my premolars in addition to the triangle you have over your canines.

They work a treat. You should see some progress in closing your bite soon.
