are all wires made equal???

#1 Post by looloog »

Im sure this question has been asked before at some point, but I find it hard to search for things in the forum.
My question is, are all wires the same? Ive read about thermal wires that respond to the heat in your mouth and thats how they strengthen, so is that the case with ALL braces and wires now a days?? Is that what I have??
So correct me if Im wrong but, when I look at my wire (ive had braces for 5 days now and wire is uneven) that wire will start the go back to the form it was in originally before being put in my mouth? (I remember looking up and seeing my ortho bending it to shape and then putting it in, then bending at putting it in etc )
And when that happens, im done, or i get another wire for some other reason ?

im really excited to learn about all this.... :) thanks for any info.
