Last supper :)

My brace-day is Thursday. Wednesday is Valentine's Day. My husband has asked me what I want for my "last supper" without braces for 26 months.

I have several ideas, but I thought it would be a fun question to put out to the group: What was your "last supper" pre-braces? Or, if you haven't gotten them yet, what do you want it to be?

Hey, Ives, a fellow Utahn! I'm up in Ogden.

Amy, ribs is one of the things I'm considering. But I only like them how I cook them, so I'd have to fire up the grill!

Hmmmm..... Mexican with hard shell tacos and nacho chips followed by a carmel apple and carmel corn.

For breakfast, a breakfast bar and a Golden Delicious Apple.

Please don't get me started!

Still, I'd do the brace bit again without hesitation.

aahhhh man, i forgot about apples and corn on the cob. Spring is almost here, time for brbq's. Guess i'll settle for apple sauce and creamed corn.

I had a deep dish pizza and a Snickers bar. If I had it to do over, I would have a big, juicy hamburger - the only thing I have missed since getting braces. I know that I can cut my hamburger into little pieces and eat it, but I miss biting into a big, juicy burger!

Eat anything that you will have to bite into using your front teeth, like a ridiculously huge sandwich, corn on the cob or apples.

Are you telling me i can't bite into a big juicy hamburger after braces, man i'm in trouble. :x Home made burgers are a big part of my menu. Oh well, maybe my combination beer and burger gut will get a little smaller. that's not a bad thing !!!!!!!

Hey Kiwi
Sounds like it can get alittle messy. Me and the guys go out every friday for double cheeseburgers and fries here at work. Going to have to rethink my lunch habits a little. Bummer !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still manage to eat ribs occasionally, as long as they are tender I just take more care when I bite them to make sure my brackets don't crash into the bone. :D

Chewy humbug sweets, I ate loads before I got braces as I knew they would be forgiven, anything chewy and sticky is out. I look forward to eating a baguette again.

I do eat burgers, but small ones, not the double cheeseburger types, but then I never ate a large burger anyway. At first I couldn't use my front teeth to bite but now I have no problem but I wouldn't tackle anything like a baguette.

I don't think I ate anything special for my "last supper" but I wish I'd eaten steak every day for a week for dinner, because that is the one food that I really want that I can't have. I've never been fond of hard candies, just chocolate, and that can melt in your mouth! Also, I have always peeled and sliced my apples before eating them (I'm a little weird in how I eat certain foods) so biting into apples hasn't been a problem for me. Sandwiches and burgers were difficult at first, but its a bit easier now, as long as the burger patty isn't too thick. I still tend to pull out a whole slice of tomato when I eat a sandwich, but I just eat it on down in one bite.
