NO!!! Brackets DO NOT STAIN! None of them do!!

It's the little rubber rings (ligatures) that hold the archwire to traditional brackets that stain. They are changed regularly so staining is not a "life sentence"

There are no ligatures with Damons so there is no staining.

I had Damons for my treatment, they were nice. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

For some reason then my dr showed me ligs and colors so I assumed I could get them?

Not on Damons...are you sure you're getting Damons?

My ortho has put colored ligs on Damons for teens but it was just for "show" there is no actual use for them in a standard Damon (or other self-ligating bracket) treatment.

Maybe an ortho would use a lig or two on a particular tooth for a particular problem, but not on the whole arch.

They do use powerchains...they are a chain of rubber rings. They can be in colors, was that it maybe?

BTW, thanks for your complement on my teeth! :D
