it is finally happening!

#1 Post by jabberwocky »

I just got spacers in again today and Wednesday I'm getting banded. My dentakit came in the mail today, i bought mouthwash, salt (I was wondering, is regular iodized table salt good or sea salt?), applesauce, soup, and some slimfast.

i am totally ready.

at least i think.

I'll post pictures.

you guys all rock! it makes me so happy that there is a group of adults with braces. I'd feel so lost without this forum. :)

Good luck tomorrow! So, you're having your surgery right after getting your braces on? Let us know how it goes!

Hey great news!

Hope the day goes well. Remember to take pictures the first few days. Then when you start saying WHY AM I DOING THIS? You can look at the pictures and see the progress and know why.

Glad there's another West Virginian on the list going through this together!

ahhh i get my braces in a matter of hours!
i'm nervous now! almost kind of scared...
i keep thinking "I can't believe i'm doing this." It just feels like something so permanent.
I took pictures this morning though of my pre-brace face, and of the spacers, so i'll take some more when i get back and show them to you guys.

Happy B-Day Jabberwoky!

I had mine on Monday and I know where you are coming from. That "what have I done to myself" feeling. Just remember that this is not permanent. I keep reminding myself that when these puppies come off, things will be better than they ever were. The braces are temporary but the improvement will last forever. If we wear our retainers that is. Good luck and congrats!

Congratulations on your decision and all the best for the big day.

I start my own little journey tomorrow with my initial consult so may only be a few weeks behind you.

All the best

Congrats, I'll be joining you guys on April 26th. I'm already getting butterflies in my tummy. I'm so scared and keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end.
