my wire is scraping

#1 Post by travelbug »

Hi everyone,

I got braced last Friday. For both my upper and lower, my ortho put brackets on my front two teeth, skipped the next teeth out, and then put brackets on my canines. The result of this is that my wires loop out from my front two teeth to my canines... and since the wires loop out, the wires are scraping the inside of my mouth and it really hurts! I can't use dental wax on just the wire.

Can anyone help!?!?

You will get used to the sticking out wire and your mouth will adjust to it, so the pain should go away in a few more days.

It's just a matter of persevering until then. :?
