What's everyones estimated treatment time?
How long have you had them on for?
and in your opinion, do you think you will have them off by the estimated time?

For me it was 15-18 months.
Theyve been on for 2 months so far
And as of now i really feel like they might be off before 15 months, everything is moving very quickly :D

I'm getting limited treatment. I'm filling a gap for the front tooth (bottom) I had pulled but my top teeth needed straightened to fix the bottom. I have a few molars on top that have been extracted through the years so bridges would be needed to do full treatment but I'm not caring to even worry about all that :)
My treatment time is 16-18 months I've had mine 2 weeks and 1 day.

You will have a lot of movement in the beginning because the first step is to align your teeth. I hope you get them off quickly, but you can't judge the pace right now.

I was about 8 months overdue in getting mine off...and the ortho actually wanted to keep them on longer.

Best wishes!

My estimated time is between 18-24 months. I've had them on for 4 1/2 months now. The time is going by quite quickly. And somehow this site is helping me get through it.

Hi

my estimated time in braces is....3 years. 18months than double jaw surgery and then 18 months after surgery.

Had my braces on 10 months now and am currently abit ahead of schedule, but who knows what will happen as i still have aLONG time to go.

Mine was 15-18 months. It's a shame that this didn't happen but there's nothing anyone can do about it taking longer than thought. My ortho seems to think I'll be done within the 2 year mark now. :D

I have been in ortho treatment for 16 months. My estimated time is 16-20 months. I really think my orthodontic treatment will take longer, not sure how long though. I'm fine with staying in braces for longer because my goal is to have my teeth look the best they can. I also know my orthodontist is doing a great job!

My original estimate was 18 - 22 months, but my ortho later revised it to "18, possibly less." When I was in last time, he started mentioning the D-word "in time for bikini season" and I haven't even hit one year yet! So I'm guessing probably 14 months... I go in Monday and I'll find out more then! :D

That's awesome Jillean, hopefully you get them off soon. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum, got braced a few days ago and have a sentence of 24 months.

I had upper and lower braces put on on Tuesday. Estimated treatment time is 15-18 mos. I don't believe it, however, as I'd had a consultation with the same ortho 2.5 years ago and at that time he said 24 months. I really don't think ortho techniques have improved THAT much in such a short period of time. Time will tell....

Let's see originally 18-24 months. Then we changed my treatment plan to open up spaces for a bridge or an implant. That added at least lower jaw surgery and at least an additional 12 months.

How long? Almost forever, but, I'll end up with good teeth.

I wore braces (this time) for 1294 days or 3 years, 6 months and 17 days.
But who's counting?

Estimated 18-24mths.
So far, lowers 10 months and uppers 1 month.
If I accept the treatment without extractions then most likely 18mths. But if I want my teeth moved further and have extractions then probably the latter. I just want that perfect smile and the best I can get, no matter how long it takes.

Estimated treatment time: 2.5 years
How long have you had them on for?: 8 weeks 4 days tops; 3 weeks 4 days bottoms
and in your opinion, do you think you will have them off by the estimated time?: No; I doubt it; I've seen movement of the bottoms in two weeks which was fantastic; but I have crowding in the top and that is a slow mover...but I don't mind having braces, it will finish when it is done.

Considering how bad my teeth are, I was impressed with the treatment time!!
