Rubberbands irritating my cheeks

#1 Post by DanceDiva »

I dont' think there's anything I can do about this, but I'm wearing rubberbands to fix my overbite and the inside of my cheek is getting ripped up from rubbing on the rubberband. It's not like I can put wax on the rubberband itself. Anyone have any ideas. I guess I'll try salt water rinses tonight.

I also have to wear elastics for an overjet/overbite. I drink lots of water and tea throughout the day. I find that keeping hydrated really helps. By the way, do you mean elastics when you say rubber bands?

I was afraid of this happening with my elastics so I drank plenty of water and I didn't have any problems.

Give it a try and see if it helps!!!

This actually happens to me too. It will go away, that area will toughen up as time goes on. That's just about the time, they switch em up on you!
