i need your experience... closing gap!

#1 Post by minnie2 »

Hi everyone...

I have a lot of fun with my braces.. really!
Great experience and without pain until now! (my sentence: 1 year) I have now a beautiful smile only after 5 months( not perfect but really better)... I still have a gap!!!! it's my next step! I have an adjustment this week;
Objective: we start to close the gap ( second premolar). A gap of 3-4 mm ( we'll close 1 mm per month).

I'm curious! I don't know what to expect!
Is it painful? and usually, what is the technique to close a gap? I need a preparation psycological before my adjustment!

You help me so much! it's great experience.. thanks to your help

Thanks

I had powerchains to close my 4 extraction gaps, and it there only slightly more discomfort than any wire changes I had. So it was back to normal within a few days. 2 powerchain changes later all gaps are now gone; maybe I'm just lucky, but I love powerchains.
