Bite issue

#1 Post by Chiwawamom »

Ok....almost 2 weeks in braces and my bite is REALLY different now. Its all concentrated on the right side and those teeth feel loose. I get that poppy feeling in the gums of I bite too hard like im breaking up the bones in my gums...thats the best way I can describe it. No pain though...just loose and not at all lined up. I feel like at first it was my front teeth getting all the abuse....now its the right side..will the left side be next? Is that how braces work and are my teeth moving aroung too fast since it had only been 2 weeks? This loose tooth stuff is really wierd...Im sure it's only a matter of time before I have goofy teeth dreams..: )

You'll find that your bite keeps changing throughout treatment, CWM. In some cases, things get worse before they get better.

My bite is definitely worse than it was before I started but I guess I need to look at that as a good thing because it mean progress. However I am a bit concerned about one of my Lateral incisors, it is pretty loose. How loose is a safe loose when should one be concerned that it's too loose?

Yah they are too bad. right side molars just started getting loose a couple days ago. This new one in the front is by far the loosest and Im trying to baby it a bit so that it doesnt get looser. It looks longer too that could be because it's been completely separated from the tooth next to it. That tooth has been moved so much " the loose one" the gao between it and the front center tooth is so big. I guess that explains why its loose since it has moved so much.
