Gaps between teeth & gums?

So... I'm new to braces (2 weeks in) and at my first consult my ortho said I have triangle shaped teeth... he said I might have space between my gumline and where my teeth touch. Well.. before braces I had overlapping laterals. Now after just two weeks they are no longer overlapping and I see the gap between my gums and teeth. Basically I can blow a little bit of air between my two front teeth. It isnt HUGE... but I was wondering if there is a chance that my gums will "fall" into place? If they dont I was told to consider veneers... Im really hoping I wont have to get veneers after all the work of getting braces. Has anyone had similar experiences? Pls advise I dont want to spend 18 months worrying about it. THANKS!

Not so fast to finish... I now have a pretty good size triangle gap here now as well. Never before! I have it. I had a tinnie tiny gap on the yop before treatment and again a big one.
Who has had this and is there a fix? Anyone have experience here?

Triangles top and bottom here. I'll be getting IPR for at least the top teeth.

my ortho said I have triangle shaped teeth.
I have that same problem. My ortho has already done a bit of IPR and it does help. I am sure I am in for more as we see more movement. He did not eleminate the black triangles all the way though - he said he wantd to see if a bit of gum would fill in. I didn't think that was possible though....guess it is more wait and see.
