Do the rubber bands/elastics have any taste or odour?

#1 Post by Jennine »

Simple as the topic title...

Do the rubber bands/elastics have any taste or odour? Do they smell like regular elastic bands or have a noticeable taste ?

Thanks

Can't you soak them in gentian violet before you put them in, Karen?

You could have fun with different food colourings, especially if your ortho doesn't supply neon elastics

I haven't noticed anything with my elastics. I do take them out when I eat, then I brush and put new ones back in. I only wear two sets at night and one set during the day. They can be a pain, especially out in public when I have to pop them out to eat, but other than that, they haven't been much trouble. Still for me, braces have been a piece of cake, the spacers were hell though!!
