what exactly is a Class 1

please help me that is what i have what does that mean when i get my braces I have to keep them on for 18 months that is n ot a long time but i have no idea help me please I'm so new to this
One less thing to fix ! I am class II, my upper teeth are too far forward compared to the lowers, so they will need to be pulled back.
